KIA Tigers' Kim Do-young (21) won the 2024 KBO League regular season MVP, marking his name in league history. At the award ceremony held at Lotte Hotel World in Songpa-gu, Seoul on Wednesday, Kim received 95 votes (94.06 percent of the total 101 votes) and was named MVP amid overwhelming support.  

Kim Do-young drew attention by quoting her own words, which had been drawing attention on social media. "You know those days. It's a day full of negative thoughts because you can't see and the future is uncertain. Someone told me to trust you. I still remember saying that someone will see you and be comforted later," he said.  먹튀검증

Kim Do-young expressed hope to fans through her experience, saying, "I hope people who think of such a day will see me and be comforted."  

The cheering phrase, "Doyoung, you have to live your life" shouted by KIA fans also impressed Kim Do-young. "Thanks to the fans who have been with me with a lot of support and trust, I lived thanks to them this year," he said, expressing his gratitude.  

In this season, Kim had a batting average of 0.347, 38 homers, 109 RBIs, 30 steals, and 143 points. In particular, he set a number of records including the youngest and youngest game ever with 30 homers and 30 steals, the record for the most runs scored in the season, and the cycling hit, leading KIA to the first place and overall win in the regular season.  

"I'm so honored to receive such a big award as MVP. I'll continue to be a player who helps my team with humble attitude. I'll always try to be an exclamation point," he said.  

During the season, Kim evaluated himself with 80 points and looked back on what he lacked. "I value defense. I saved 20 points because I had 30 errors," he said, renewing his commitment to improve defense capabilities.  

"I didn't think it would become famous. Now, however, I am considered a 'player who will lead Korean baseball,'" he said. "I will act more responsibly to meet those expectations."  

Finally, Kim Do-young said, "I couldn't spend time with my family during the season. Going on a trip with my family again this year is a gift to give to myself."  

In 2024, Kim made history in the KBO league with his dazzling achievements. But he is not complacent about his accomplishments, and is preparing for a bigger leap out of humility.
